2026 Teen Board Applications are Open!

ReMerge, a pre-trial prison diversion program serving high-risk, high-need mothers in Oklahoma City, is proud to announce the 2026 ReMerge Teen Board is now accepting applications. This year’s board will continue its commitment established last year to develop the next generation of community leaders and advocates.

High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending public, private, charter, or home schools in Oklahoma are invited to apply for a position on the Teen Board. Members meet monthly at ReMerge to learn about the challenges facing justice-involved mothers and take meaningful action to support them.

“After witnessing the heart, dedication, and impact of our inaugural Teen Board in 2025, I couldn’t be more proud to launch our second year,” said ReMerge CEO Erin Engelke, “These young leaders stepped up in powerful ways to support ReMerge moms and their families, and their compassion gave us so much hope for the future. I am eager to see how this next group of young leaders will continue to grow, serve, and bring fresh energy to our mission.”

Laine Townsend, a member of the 2025 ReMerge Teen Board, agreed, “I think it is important for teens to be active with boards like ReMerge because they provide an amazing opportunity to engage with the community while developing valuable leadership skills. It’s also been so cool to see so many people from the community come together and get involved with ReMerge because of us.”

This year's board will continue the work of educating peers about issues facing justiceinvolved individuals, leading service projects that benefit ReMerge participants, and advocating for high-risk, high-need mothers through fundraising and awareness initiatives. Applications will be accepted through 11 pm, July 10, 2026. Students and parents can find the application and additional information at Teen Board — ReMerge Oklahoma.
