A Letter fromErin Engelke, CEO

Dear Friends —

I’m thrilled to welcome you to a new and inspiring chapter in ReMerge’s storied history, one that deepens our commitment to the women we serve, and that amplifies our mission to restore lives through treatment, recovery, and hope. As many of you know, ReMerge empowers women to break free from cycles of addiction, trauma, and incarceration, and to remerge as transformed, productive citizens, poised to stabilize, grow, and strengthen themselves, their families, and their communities. We’ve helped hundreds of women complete this journey, yet we know the journey is never really “complete.” We’ve always dreamed of a way we could create new cycles, where graduates return for guidance, comfort, continuing education, and to give back as mentors to other women entering our program. Well, it turns out our graduates share our dream, and with your support, we’re ready to create a new and transformative Graduate Center, a place where our graduates can work and network safely, take classes, get advice and assistance from counselors and specialists, spend time with their children, be mentored, and yes, be mentors themselves. This new center is a statement of confidence in the women we help usher back into society, and brings women together as allies and advocates for one another. The impact of our Graduate Center has economic benefits, too: Our graduates already maintain an impressive five percent recidivism rate — well below average for women post-incarceration — and we know the ongoing connection to resources and services will contribute to even more successful outcomes. But big things don’t just happen, which leads me to why we’re here: We need your help. I invite you to be a part of something truly special, a center that changes lives, that keeps positive change in motion, that improves our community, and that turns a short-term program into a lifelong experience that bonds women and families through recovery, stability, and success. Please join us in bringing this vision to life. Your contribution of any amount makes a real and lasting difference. Simply put: With your help, we can ensure ReMerge can serve women in our community forever.

With gratitude, humility, and hope,

Erin Engelke, CEO
