Andrea Lechtenberger

Andrea Lechtenberger is an Oklahoma native who has always had an inherent artistic flair; however, her real hero’s journey into the art world began with a breast cancer diagnosis in 2016.  Art became a therapeutic escape into a meditative world of creativity encompassing light, color, shapes, textures, and other sensorial perceptions.

Through trial and error, artistic workshops, experimentation and collaboration with other artists, not to mention the many hours spent in European and American museums and art galleries, Andrea has developed an abstract style all her own.  Starting with gallery-wrapped canvas, Andrea has incorporated mixed media and different textured mediums along with acrylic paints (both fluid and non-fluid), inks, waxes, and paper from all over the world.   Her unique technique and approach have developed into utilizing an assorted combination of brushes, pallet knives, brayers, fingers, mark making, scratches, and transferring techniques in an evolving panoply of up to forty different kaleidoscopic layers of paint and texture.
